South Carolina State basketball player collapses during first half of game
South Carolina State basketball player, Ty Solomon, collapsed during a basketball game Saturday at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Solomon collapsed during the first half of the game against North Carolina State University with 13:08 still remaining, 247sports.com reports.
Solomon is a Johns Island native.
EMT crews immediately rushed over the collapsed basketball player.
The basketball player's mother was heard screaming, "Oh my God don't die!" as EMT crews waited for Solomon to respond.
Pack Pride on Twitter reports that Solomon is now stable and responsive.
He was taken to Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
After players came back out to resume the game, the crowd had a standing ovation.
