TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, after spending the season backing-up Heisman runner-up Tua Tagovailoa, ESPN reports.
Hurts is a junior with one year of eligibility remaining. He graduated in December, and will be allowed to play in the upcoming 2019-2020 season.
Hurts was the Crimson Tide's starter the previous two seasons, going 26 - 2, and winning one of two National Championship appearances.
The transfer portal allows other schools to contact Hurts, but players can remain with their current school after entering their name.
