Gamecocks headed to Outback Bowl to play Michigan
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- Just two years after South Carolina finished the season with three wins, the Gamecocks are headed back to a New Year's Day Bowl Game after being selected to play in the Outback Bowl against Michigan.
The game will kickoff at 12 PM on Jan. 1, 2018 in Tampa, FL.
South Carolina finished the regular season at (8-4) under second-year head coach Will Muschamp, while Michigan also finished with an (8-4) record led by third-year head coach Jim Harbaugh.
This marks just the fourth meeting all-time between the programs, who last met in the 2013 Outback Bowl. South Carolina leads the all-time series, 2-1.
