Cooper River Bridge run a race to remember

April 1, 2017 will forever be a date to remember, not only because it is the 40th annual Cooper River Bridge Run, but also because some racers had a special surprise waiting at the finish line.

Around 9:30 Saturday, Alexis Foltz crossed the finish line, collected her medal and continued walking to meet her boyfriend Johnathon Moore at the Finish Festival.

Waiting for Foltz in the middle of the intersection of Calhoun and Meeting Street, down on one knee with an important question, whether or not she would start a new race as his wife.

Foltz said yes and embraced her fiancé.

Moore told ABC News 4 that he has been friends with Foltz for more than four years and they've been dating for more than a year and a half.
