Jen Rhines wins women's master race of Cooper River Bridge Run
There was a whole lot of talk around an Olympian who won the men's elite race of the Cooper River Bridge Run Saturday. But the first American winner in the men's race wasn't the only Olympian in Charleston Saturday. Shadrack Kipchirchir also wasn't the only Olympian to win.
Three-time Olympian Jen Rhines competed in the women's master division and won with a time of 35:16.
For those not familiar, Rhines represented the U.S. in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. She ran the 10k, marathon and 5k. The Syracuse native finished 14th in the 5k race in Beijing.
