Alexandria Savage is originally from Chicago, Illinois, but considers Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home.

Her love for news developed at Carolina Forest High School, where she anchored and reported for Panther Pride, a student run afternoon newscast.

In college she had the opportunity to continue her anchoring and reporting experience with Winthrop Close-UP at Winthrop University.

After graduating, Alexandria started her journalism career at WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach. Alexandria was a news content specialist, and then she worked her way up to morning editor for the 5 and 6 a.m. newscasts.

Later, she worked for a year as a reporter at WTAP News in Parkersburg, West Virginia, before moving back to South Carolina to report at CN2 News in the Charlotte area.

While working at CN2, Alexandria earned her Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University.

Alexandria’s interest in the news stretches beyond reporting just locally. She hopes and dreams to one day report overseas.

She is excited to start her new news adventure in the Lowcountry. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the community, and finding new eateries.
