Alissa Holmes joined ABC News 4 in June of 2022 as the live desk and co-anchor for "Good Morning Charleston."
Most recently, Alissa worked at WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire as the Morning Traffic and Live Desk Anchor.
Alissa is a native of Charleston and attended Charleston County School of the Arts. She graduated from James Island Charter High School.
Alissa is also a graduate of the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Theater in 2016.
Alissa is currently pursuing a master's degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Historic Preservation at American University.
Her love of history and journalism has taken her as far as Accra, Ghana, where she worked on a docu-series about the cultural connections between West Africa and the Charleston Gullah Culture.
After nearly a decade in news, she is coming home for good! Alissa says she thrives on mornings and wouldn’t want to work any other shift. Alissa a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
