A South Carolina native, Ashley grew up in Summerville and received her bachelor's degree in radio-television broadcasting from Bob Jones University in Greenville.
Ashley began her career at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, where she covered tropical storms and hurricanes as they threatened the Palmetto state.
Following WPDE-TV, Ashley worked at KTHV-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a reporter and morning anchor.
Ashley has been recognized with three Edward R. Murrow awards and several Associated Press Awards. She has also earned two Emmy awards for her reporting.
After nine years away from South Carolina, Ashley is thrilled to be back in the Lowcountry telling stories in the city she loves most.
