Kate Mosso joined WCIV as a reporter in January 2019.

Kate holds a B.A. from Emory University and a Master’s Degree in TV Journalism from New York Institute of Technology.

She started her career as a production assistant at FOX News channel, then moved on to become an anchor and reporter at NBC affiliate WVVA-TV in Bluefield, WV.

Her reporting on the Upper Big Branch Mining Disaster that killed 29 people helped bring about safer industry-wide working conditions.

Kate later moved on to New York, reporting for the News 12 Networks. She became part of the launch and production team for “Chasing News," broadcasting nightly across the Northeast.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Kate’s coverage exposed fraudulent claims and helped ignored victims receive FEMA aid.

Fun fact: Kate is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher.

Kate is thrilled to have landed in the beautiful Lowcountry, surrounded by Palmetto trees and hospitable people!
