SCE&G restores power quickly after Irma

As Tropical storm Irma ravaged through South Carolina with high wind and rainfalls, more than 154,000 SCE&G customer outages were reported.

The hardest hit areas being coastal counties of Charleston and Beaufort.

The morning after the storm, about 2,500 SCE&G employees worked to restore all power.

President of retail operations for SCE&G, Keller Kissam, says as of Friday the energy crews have restored power to customers throughout their service area.

SCE&G brings electricity to approximately 718,000 customers in 24 counties throughout South Carolina.
